Under the Biosecurity (National Bovine Tuberculosis Pest Management Strategy) Order 1998, owners or persons in charge of cattle or deer must advise the Animal Health Board where the animals are kept and must provide sufficient facilities and assistance for TB testing of the animals.
In addition, owners or persons in charge of cattle or deer and owners or occupiers of land where cattle or deer are kept must provide any information required by the Animal Health Board for the purposes of monitoring the distribution of bovine tuberculosis. This includes changes in the composition and location of cattle and deer herds.
