TBfree Committees

In order to maintain effective links with the farming community and stakeholders at a regional level the AHB supports fifteen TBfree Committees.

The committees are advocates for the TB programme in their regions and are an important source of advice and feedback to the AHB on policy and operational isssues.

The 2007/08 year saw a continued focus on planned communications activity by TBfree committees to support disease and vector control operations and compliance with TB control regulations.

The Otago TBfree Committee managed the additional task of public consultation relating to the Otago Land Levy in that region.
